First learning blog
Well bear with me on this first
try. This is my first time blogging and I really never thought I would write
one. I usually strictly avoid writing at any cost. This semester has taken me
on many different journeys already.
I
recently took the MCAT which could potential determine where I spend the next 4
yours after college. The preparation and the actual stress involved was an
interesting experience for me. I had not previously prepared like this nor had
this much stress put on me (mostly by myself). I had spent hours upon hours on
this one accumulation of knowledge and stress.
This
semester also started my first semester as being president pf my Fraternity.
That in itself has already taught me so much. I am learning how to plan and how
to organize. This is also started to teach me how to learn how to motivate
different types of people. This is interesting because I am motivated in a
certain way and that is generally how I motivate people but that is not always
the best way to do it.
I
also started my research in to C. Elegans and a mutation in one of their genes.
This is one of the most interesting things I have ever done. Learning in a lab
while doing instead of listening in a classroom is so effective I believe. In just a couple of week I have learned more
about genetics than I could have in any formal classroom. I am learning and
experiencing at the same time, which helps tremendously.
I
also think that it is interesting that the three things I choose to write about
have nothing to do with the formal education system that I am currently attending
this is very interesting to me. I hope that this was not to painful to read but
I have actually enjoyed writing this.. Until next time -Canon
